Scottish Open snooker - Geen achtste finale voor Ben Mertens

Ben Mertens (PDC-66) is er woensdag in Edinburgh niet in geslaagd zich te plaatsen voor de achtste finales van het Scottish Open. De 21-jarige Oost-Vlaming moest in de tweede ronde met 4-2 de duimen leggen voor de Thai Thepchayia Un-Nooh (PDC-41). Die liet daarbij breaks van 60, 79, 102 en 76 optekenen. Tussendoor won Mertens met breaks van 70-en 67 het derde en het vierde frame: 69(60)-20, 79(79)-0, 10-71(70), 33-82(67), 109(102)-15, 77(76)-28.
